Dive into the world of watercolors with our Watercolor Basics Workshop! Whether you're picking up a brush for the first time or looking to refine your skills, this workshop is designed for art enthusiasts of all levels. Join us for a creative journey where you'll learn fundamental watercolor techniques, explore color blending, and create your own masterpiece. Our experienced instructor will guide you through each step, ensuring a fun and supportive environment. Unleash your creativity and discover the joy of watercolor painting in this immersive workshop tailored for beginners. We will explore a variety of subjects from still life, florals, landscapes, animals, water scapes, and more!

SUPPLIES:
SKETCHBOOK: 9"x12" spiral sketchbook
PAPER: Watercolor paper pad 11"x15" (140lb or higher weight is recommended, Strathmore brand works well)
BRUSHES: Various sizes, synthetic round #2, #6, #10 (or similar sizes)
PALETTE: Plastic or porcelain watercolor palette with wells for mixing colors (Royal & Langnickel® Large White Folding Palette)
PAINT: Tube watercolor paints
BASIC 10 COLORS : Lemon Yellow Hue, Cadmium Orange Hue, Cadmium Red Deep Hue, Permanent Rose, Dioxazine Purple, Ultramarine, Cerulean Blue Hue, Hooker's Green Light, Burnt Sienna, and Lamp Black (Winsor & Newton™ Cotman Water Colours™ 10 Color Paint Set, sold at Michaels or BLICK)

EXTENDED 24 COLORS: Chinese White, Lemon Yellow Hue, Cadmium Yellow Hue, Cadmium Orange Hue, Cadmium Red Deep Hue, Alizarin Crimson Hue, Permanent Rose, Purple Lake, Dioxazine Purple, Ultramarine, Prussian Blue, Cerulean Blue Hue, Turquoise, Emerald, Viridian Hue, Hooker's Green Light, Yellow Ochre, Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber, and Lamp Black (Winsor & Newton™ Cotman Water Colours™ 20 Color Paint Set, sold at Michaels or BLICK)
MASKING MATERIAL: Frisket (used for preserving white areas of your painting)
WATER CONTAINERS: Two or more clean jars or cups for water (to rinse brushes)
TOWEL: Towel/rag for blotting and cleaning brushes
OTHER: HB pencil, kneaded eraser, pencil sharpener, micron pen (or thin sharpie), blue painters tape
